The iconic Powerhouse on Chelsea’s waterfront showcases striking terracotta brickwork and towering chimneys, celebrating its heritage as a former power station turned luxurious residential haven. Our design embraces this history, drawing hues from the brickwork with deep reds, bronze accents, and refined neutrals.
In the living area, a bespoke dining table serves as the focal point, complemented by upholstered chairs in earthy tones that mirror the terracotta-inspired artwork. A bronzed, bevelled mirrored wall enhances the space’s grandeur, while a sweeping boucle sofa creates a warm, inviting setting for entertaining. The principal bedroom features a full-height upholstered headboard with rippled bronze details, offering a serene yet striking centrepiece. The other bedrooms balance functionality with comfort, incorporating work areas into a layered, opulent, and liveable design.
Capturing the essence of this monumental building was essential to our design approach, resulting in a modern interior that harmoniously enhances the Powerhouse’s historic legacy.
